Through its comprehensive website, www.medlineplus.gov, the U.S. National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health (NIH) provides information about diseases, conditions, and wellness issues in easy to read and understand language.

One of the site's key features includes a searchable Merriam Webster's dictionary of medical terms. You can find definitions for important wellness and medical terms, such as "cholesterol," "glucose tolerance test," and "physical examination." The dictionary also provides definitions for certain health insurance terms, such as "copay."
